We have all felt the desire to remodel our house or specific rooms. It's like a thought that comes out of nowhere one day when we get home and think everything would look better if we made some changes. Good decorating ideas, ingenuity, creativity, and good taste are essential to creating comfortable environments with personality. These resources and tricks are necessary to overcome minor inconveniences and obtain great solutions in interior design. After all, decorating allows us to start over. It's like breathing new air and expelling the old us from rooms that are surprisingly still ours but look completely different.
The word DIY is an abbreviation for Do It Yourself. Several pages, videos, and even magazines teach us to do different things, crafts among them, with our own hands. That is, they provide us with the amount of information necessary to recreate what they do. They are explanatory and plainly easy to follow. In addition, they generally only require objects that we have at home, are not difficult to find, and are even unexpensive. The objective of DIYs is to encourage you to do beautiful work done at home and that later you can use as a decoration, as a tool, or whatever you need.
For this DIY, we need something that we can get at a low price in an antique or second-hand store: vinyl. We will cut a cardboard sheet that is the color that we like the most, and we will cut a circle the same size as the center of the vinyl. On top of it, we will use some white paint to create a paint drip effect.
We all know vinyl. It was like a large CD that allowed us to listen to music too. The vinyl record appeared in 1948 as a long-term format (from 4 minutes to 45 minutes) and achieved higher quality and nature of sound. Then, the vinyl was displaced by the CD -smaller and more durable but with less sound quality. Luckily, everything old is coming back into fashion today. I hope the same happens with the vinyl.
Choose some paints that are your favorite colors. In this case, we will use pastel violet, light pink, yellow and soft turquoise. Once painted, you can leave it like this, or you can also add some white stars to make them stand out more, or they can be tiny hearts. The last thing we will do is take apart a clock that is not pretty and does not bring anything new to the house. We will have to remove the part that operates the hands to put it in the center of the vinyl, and the only thing missing is to get a brooch of those used to hang pictures and put our creation on the wall so everyone would see it.
